The evacuation of about 190 Palestinians from Sudan via Egypt, and facilitating their transfer to Gaza

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the departure of 3 buses carrying Palestinian students and citizens from the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, towards the Arqin border crossing with Egypt, in preparation for their return to Palestine.

Ambassador Ahmad al-Deek, political advisor to the Palestinian Foreign Minister, said that the buses are carrying about 190 Palestinians, including 130 students, noting that the buses are carrying Palestinians from the besieged Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian News Agency, Wafa.

Buses to take them to Gaza

He stressed that the Palestinian embassy in Cairo has completed all the necessary preparations to receive them, including the running of buses from Egypt at the Arqin crossing to take them directly to the Rafah border crossing with the besieged Strip.

Likewise, he explained that the Palestinian embassies in Saudi Arabia and Oman have completed procedures to receive a second group of orphaned Palestinians outside Sudan.

The political advisor to the Palestinian Foreign Minister added: “The evacuation process is still continuing with great efforts made by the crisis cells at the ministry’s headquarters and the embassies of the State of Palestine in Khartoum, Riyadh, Cairo, and Amman, and in partnership with the General Intelligence Service, Military Intelligence, the Ministry of Interior, and partner institutions.” .
