The Arab League stresses the need to stop all armed clashes in Sudan

An extraordinary meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States was held at the level of permanent delegates, on Sunday, under the chairmanship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to discuss developments in the Republic of Sudan, in response to the request of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The attendees affirmed the readiness of the League of Arab States to exert all efforts to assist the Republic of Sudan in ending this crisis in a sustainable manner, and in line with the interest of the brotherly Sudanese people. They stressed the need to follow up on current developments and intensify the necessary Arab contacts to achieve the desired progress. . He called on the Arab ambassadors accredited in Khartoum to coordinate and communicate continuously with the Sudanese authorities and parties, provide the necessary support to restore stability in the situation in Sudan, and coordinate with the General Secretariat of the Council at the ministerial level in this context.
