Hossam Jamil crowned the Cup of the late Al-Habbari for the Yemeni Champions of Table Tennis

The tournament, which was hosted by the Al-Ahly club hall in the capital, Sana’a, witnessed the participation of 56 players from various governorates of the Republic, namely the capital Sana’a, Taiz, Ibb, Hadramout Al-Wadi, Hadramout Al-Sahel, Al-Hodeidah, Abyan, Hajjah, Lahj, Dhamar, Al-Bayda and Al-Mahweet.

Where the player Hossam Jamil was crowned champion of the championship by defeating the player Bashir Al-Mahakry in the final match that was held today by three runs for one in an exciting final that witnessed many distinguished moments. The next match came with results of 11/9, 11/8, 11/9, to be crowned with the championship gold, leaving the silver medal to Al-Mahaqari.

At the closing and honoring ceremony, which was attended by the Director General of the Youth and Sports Office in the Municipality, Abdullah Obeid, and the President of the Tennis and Squash Federation, Muhammad Al-Sarmi, Hadban extended his thanks and appreciation to the Game Federation for its efforts in continuity of activity and the Al-Habbari Group for sponsoring the tournament, indicating that the tournament brought together the people of Yemen from various governorates, which made it represent a national cohesion. Distinguished, explaining that sport is what united and still unites Yemenis when they gather behind a team or a participation, touching on the fact that youth and athletes have a lot to bear in this aspect, congratulating the championship champions for the achievements they have achieved.

For his part, the President of the General Federation of Table Tennis, Dr. Essam Al-Senini, appreciated the keenness of the Ministry of Youth to activate sports activities and the sponsorship of the Haj Ali Muhammad Al-Habbari industrial and commercial group for sponsoring the championship in order to be an active partner in activating sports activities for various games, calling on the private sector to follow suit in sponsoring Young people and athletes, thanking Al-Ahly Club for hosting the game’s competitions on an ongoing basis, which is not surprising for an old and great club that is distinguished for breeding stars in this game, indicating that the tournament witnessed, over a period of five days, 56 players from different governorates of the Republic competed and it was run by a competent and distinguished international and national arbitration team. With a large audience, noting that the championship witnessed strong and exciting competitions and the brilliance of many players, especially the players of Hadramout, Lahj and Abyan governorates.

He stressed that sport brought together the people of one Yemen, which was reinforced by this championship, which included the stars of the game in various governorates, explaining that the technical committee of the federation monitored the levels of the players and chose the best of them to enter an open camp that starts tomorrow, Sunday, and continues until the end of Ramadan, in preparation for the upcoming benefits.

After that, the General Federation of the game presented the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Habbari Industrial and Commercial Group, Sheikh Yahya Ali Al-Habbari, with the shield of the Federation, in appreciation and gratitude for his role in sponsoring the championship, making it a success and producing it in a distinctive way.

After that, the guests of the closing ceremony honored the tournament champion, Hussam Jamil, with the championship cup, the gold medal and an amount of money, and honored the runner-up Bashir Al-Mahqari with the silver medal and an amount of money, and honored the third-place finisher, Majd Al-Dhabhani, with the bronze medal and an amount of money, and honored the fourth, Abdul Rahman Al-Yafei, with a sum of money, and the exemplary player Karim Al-Shami was also honored With a cup and a sum of money, the international tournament referees, Ali Al-Araj, Adel Al-Yafei, Murad Yassin, Ibrahim Ghouth and Khaled Al-Darm, were also honored.

The closing and honoring were attended by the Secretary-General of Al-Ahly Club, Muhammad Al-Yarimi, the Assistant Secretary-General, Ali Hanish, the financial officer of the Federation, Muhammad Al-Hashemi, and the member of the Federation, Ali Al-Darm.
