Busquets’ contract (34 years) with Barcelona expires at the end of the current season, at a time when no agreement was reached regarding renewal.
And the Catalan newspaper “Sport” confirmed that Busquets decided to settle for 15 seasons with the Blaugrana, and leave after the end of the current season.
The newspaper added that Busquets will announce his decision, tomorrow, Wednesday or next Thursday at the latest, a few days before Barca crowned the Spanish League title.
The newspaper pointed out that the Saudi League is the closest destination for the current Barcelona captain, during the next season.
It is noteworthy that the Spanish newspaper, “Mundo Deportivo”, had confirmed earlier that Busquets had discussed the decision to renew in the past few days with his family.
And the newspaper added: “Sergio Busquets will meet with his agent before informing Xavi Hernandez (Barcelona coach) of his final decision.”
