Ammon – The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply seized today, Friday, a mall in the capital, Amman, that stored large quantities of chicken and refused to sell it.
And according to what the ministry’s spokesman, Yanal Al-Baramawy, told Ammon, all the quantities stored at the mall have been seized.
He confirmed that the mall was referred to the judiciary and a violation was issued against him.
On the benefit of storing chicken, Al-Baramawy said that it is cut and sold in pieces above the official price set by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
On the other hand, Al-Baramawy said that a number of chicken production companies have expressed their readiness to increase the quantities of chicken supplied to the local market and to provide stores with any additional quantities.
He explained that this came at the request of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply after a shortage of chicken in the markets.
