The short video application “Tik Tok” announced the launch of a feature that allows users to publish content based on text only, in a new step that allows it to compete with Twitter.
TikTok said in a statement that the new service provides an easy way to publish, and that users can now publish text-based content only.
This decision came to expand the boundaries of the type of content that users can publish on a platform that was limited exclusively to short videos.
Users will also be able to place colorful backgrounds, stickers and hashtags on new posts, and add sounds and music to text.
The limit allowed for each publication is 1000 words.
